Optimism doesn't imply being happy all the time, it's getting up when you're pushed down, it's pushing through the struggle with the intention of reaching your goal, it's knowing things don't always work out the way we want them to but that doesn't stop you from striving towards what you want.

Never dismiss other's or your emotions, just because the way someone feels may not make sense to you doesn't mean what they feel isn't important.

Find happiness through making others happy.

Recognize toxic people and relationships, don't be afraid to cut people out of your life if they're not helping you grow. Also realize you may be a toxic person to someone else, understand their needs are more important than your ego.

Surround yourself with people that encourage you, praise your accomplishments, push towards your goals and dreams.

Take care of yourself.
